The basic unit of distance between nodes and between rows is 10 feet. You need not measure exactly, since things will be lined up and straightened out in step 3.
The nodes have tags on the reverse indicating their row/position.
Orient nodes with the '<' face up, pointing to the left.
If the nodes are stacked properly, you can do the layout by walking the following pattern:
For the short arrows, walk 3 big steps.

For the diagonal arrows, walk 4 big steps.

For the long arrows, walk 6-7 steps.

There are 46 ropes, color coded by length with colored tape.
Use the map as a guide; see matching colored stickers on the nodes.
White ropes (no colored tape) are the same as black ropes (black colored tape).

Connect the ropes one whole row at a time, from Row 1 to Row 6.
Each time you finish the incoming side of a node, pull it forward to tighten the ropes.
Slide the nodes sideways as needed to keep them pointed straight while tightening the ropes.
Because the lengths of the ropes are not exact, the finished network will not have exactly the same shape as the picture in the map.

Lay out the start/stop nodes using the map as a guide.
Connect and tighten the ropes by pulling the start/stop nodes away from the network.
